My name is Christian Laforteza, and I have over 7 years of experience in Commercial Lines and 4 years in Personal Lines. Most of my responsibilities have focused on quoting for new business and renewals across multiple carrier sites. For Commercial Lines, I have quoted policies for: General Liability Workers’ Compensation Commercial Auto Commercial Property Commercial Umbrella Truck For Personal Lines, I have handled quoting for: Personal Auto Homeowners Personal Umbrella In addition, my daily tasks include: Adding insureds’ accounts in Applied Epic with the effective date and inputting the limits of coverage and issuing it. Requesting cancellations and loss runs Preparing ACORD forms and Supplemental Applications Using Applied Epic, Insured mine and EZLynx for account management, quoting, and documentation Typical workflow:
Each day, I review insured accounts in Applied Epic that require quotes. Depending on the producer’s instructions, I either quote through carrier websites or send submissions to surplus lines via email. Once quotes are obtained, I input the coverage limits, attach them in Epic, and return the task to the producer. For some carriers, I also coordinate additional requirements such as loss runs, ACORD forms, or supplemental applications. I have quoted with the following carriers:
Thimble, Progressive, Safeco, Liberty Mutual, Nationwide, The Hartford, Travelers, CNA, BTIS, HCC, State Auto, Guard, Kemper, and other carrier sites.
