Currently pursuing the International Master of Science in Fire Safety Engineering (IMFSE), funded by the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s scholarship, and integrating this advanced specialization with more than seven (7) years of professional experience in structural analysis and civil engineering design. Throughout her career, she has contributed to large-scale infrastructure projects including seismic retrofit and assessment of major bridges, expressways, tunnels, and steel towers, combining strong analytical capabilities with a practical engineering mindset.
Most recently, she served as a Design Engineer at Shimizu Corporation in Tokyo, Japan, where she performed critical structural evaluations and developed Python-based parametric modelling tools for tunnel and temporary structure analyses. Prior to that, she held senior engineering roles at Yokogawa Techno Philippines, Inc., leading structural teams, coordinating with Japanese partners, validating static and dynamic models, and finalizing deliverables across more than 150 engineering projects. Her technical foundation includes timehistory response analysis, nonlinear dynamic modelling, and finite element analysis (FEA), supported by deep familiarity with Japanese design codes and international engineering standards.
To complement her structural engineering expertise, she is now expanding her capabilities in Fire Safety Engineering, gaining hands-on proficiency in CFD fire and smoke modelling using FDS and PyroSim, structural fire analysis using SAFIR, performance-based design methodologies, tenability assessment, and evacuation modelling. This multidisciplinary approach enables her to evaluate structural response not only under traditional loads but also under fire-induced thermal and mechanical actions, integrating both structural performance and life-safety objectives. Through the IMFSE program, she has developed strong familiarity with European and international fire engineering regulatory frameworks, including Eurocodes, Belgian NBN standards, EN guidelines, SFPE methodologies, and NFPA principles applied within performance-based fire safety design across the EU.
