With almost 3 years of experience venturing the creative writing niche as a freelancer, I pride myself with the skills I’ve built up coupled with the experiences from different work environments. One of my little achievements was being offered a publishing contract from a company that ran an e-reading website and app for aspiring writers like me. From then on, I started traversing my career into writing. My first gig was for a US-based company which commissioned me to write them a dark romance story for their e-reading app. I’ve collaborated with an editor during those times, and it helped me work better having a mentor alongside me.
After my freelancing gig, I eventually got hired to be a full-time remote ghostwriter for a publishing company based in the United Kingdom. From being a ghost-writer, I transitioned to being a project manager for the company, which made me build up on my skills. Being part of an indie publishing company helped me learn the extensive steps of creating books, doing research, and go through the process of publishing complete books.
Other than doing book content, I was also doing a bit of blog writing and social media managing. My skills aren’t only limited to just publishing, although it is the focus of my niche. I can adapt into any work that aligns with the skills I have, and I am also open to upskilling as long as there is a client who is willing to invest in me while I provide my time working alongside them.
