We run a YouTube channel
We need a second technical scriptwriter to join our team.
This is not a content writing job. This is not blog posts or social media copy. This is technical, step-by-step instructional scripting for screen-recorded software tutorials — and it requires someone who can actually use these tools, understand how they work at a deep level, and translate that into clear, precise, engaging narration.
Think: "Click the plus icon in the upper-right corner of your List view. A dropdown will appear with over 30 field types. We're going to focus on five of them..." — that level of specificity.
**What you'll be doing:**
- Writing complete 5,000–15,000 word scripts for long-form tutorial videos (1–3 hours when recorded)
- Researching and using ClickUp, Notion, and
- Structuring tutorials chapter by chapter with clear progressions, real use-case examples, and step-by-step UI navigation instructions
- Revising based on feedback from our host/producer until the script is tight and ready to record
- Keeping up with product updates — these tools change constantly, and scripts need to reflect current UI and features
**What we're looking for:**
- Excellent written English — native-level clarity, grammar, and flow. University-educated, ideally with a degree that required significant English writing
- Genuine interest in SaaS tools, productivity software, and how teams work — not faked enthusiasm, actual curiosity
- Ability to learn software fast. You don't need to know ClickUp inside and out right now — but you need to be the type of person who opens a new tool and figures it out systematically
- Strong logical structure — tutorials need to flow in the right order. You need to think like a teacher
- Attention to detail at the UI level — "click the horizontal ellipsis" not "click the menu"
- Reliability and the ability to meet deadlines without hand-holding
**What we don't want:**
- Generalist writers who "can adapt to anything" — this role requires real technical depth
- Anyone who will rely on AI to do the research and writing — you can use AI as a tool, but the thinking and the tool-exploration has to be yours
- Someone who has never used project management software
**How to apply:**
Do NOT just send your CV. Applications without a writing sample will be ignored.
Please send:
1. A short (3–5 sentence) introduction — tell us who you are, your educational background, and why this role fits you
2. A writing sample: either an existing piece of technical/instructional writing you've done, OR a short original sample (500–1,000 words) of a step-by-step tutorial script for any SaaS tool you know well — written in the style described above
3. Your availability and expected monthly rate
We will send shortlisted candidates a paid test task before making any hiring decision.
