Compensation:
• Part-Time: USD $550/month
• Full-Time: USD $1,540/month + Profit Share (up to an additional USD $1,000 for top performance)

Who We Are

BasicX is a fast-growing e-commerce business focused on the Takealot marketplace (similar to Amazon FBA). We have a robust product pipeline, streamlined processes, and partnerships with a 3PL and Chinese suppliers. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a Rockstar Operator / Executive Assistant who’s eager to help manage day-to-day operations and drive growth.

Key Responsibilities
1. Manage Product Pipeline (High-Level)
• Research and analyze new product opportunities.
• Coordinate with suppliers to source products and ensure quality.
• Oversee product imports and manage listings on Takealot.
• Edit product images (removing logos, adding our branding).
• Write compelling, keyword-rich titles and descriptions.
2. Oversee Phase 1 to Phase 2 Products
• Launch and test products with no branding (Phase 1).
• Coordinate with suppliers to transition winning products to private-label (Phase 2).
• Ensure MOQ requirements are met and branding is properly applied.
3. Product Replenishment
• Monitor stock levels and reorder products from suppliers in a timely manner.
• Plan shipments and replenish inventory to avoid stockouts.
4. Manage Disabled Products
• Appeal disabled listings to reactivate them on Takealot.
• Propose alternative or improved products to replace lost revenue.
5. Administrative & Miscellaneous Tasks
• Send out invoices and track payments.
• Check and respond to critical Takealot emails.
• Update spreadsheets daily, generate reports, and share key insights.

Who You Are
• Self-Starter: Proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable taking initiative.
• Detail-Oriented: Accurate and organized in data handling, product listings, and supplier coordination.
• Excellent Communicator: Strong written and verbal skills for liaising with suppliers and creating product copy.
• Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, spreadsheets, and collaboration tools.
• Problem-Solver: Quick to identify issues and propose solutions, especially when dealing with disabled listings or supplier challenges.
• Growth-Focused: Passionate about helping the business expand and eager to move into a leadership role.

Qualifications
• Prior experience with e-commerce or online marketplaces (Takealot/Amazon/eBay, etc.) is a plus.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Basic image-editing skills (Photoshop, Canva, or similar).
• Familiarity with spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Excel).
• Availability to commit part-time initially and transition to full-time if it’s a mutual fit.
