Remote Accountant

We are looking for a skilled accountant to join our finance & accounting team remotely, based in Manila, working out of our Manila office. In your role as an accountant, you will work with your direct manager to provide accounting shared services to our Hong Kong-based schools in the area of transactional accounting, reporting, tax compliance, and reporting. Tasks and duties of this role may evolve over time due to the rapid and continuous growth. You will be keen to develop and grow within this role and to take on additional challenges and responsibilities as they occur.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for the full set of accounts independently
Prepare reporting package and consolidate financial statements
Provide daily accounting support, including analysis, related accounting reports, etc.
Participate in system improvement or process improvement projects
Develop financial forecasts and highlight key targets
Liaise with internal and external parties for different annual exercises, e.g. financial audit, tax reporting, etc.
Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
Support any other ad-hoc assignments as required
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred
3+ years of work exposure in a similar position, multi-entities in an international environment preferred, gained exposure of education industry preferred
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and related financial regulations (Hong Kong a plus)
Strong excel skills; hands-on experience with CRM systems and financial systems (e.g. illumine and Xero)
Team player in a start-up environment, adapt and remain flexible in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment
Able to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation
Good personality, able to communicate proficiently and effectively with all levels
Good command of both spoken and written English (Chinese is a plus)
Immediately available preferred
