I hold a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and have been working for the past three and a half years as a Financial Planning Assistant for an Australian financial advisory firm. Before this, I spent three years as an Internal Auditor for a Philippine micro-finance organization. Outside my work in finance, I have a genuine love for creative writing, and it’s something that keeps me inspired in both my professional and personal life.
Experience: 2 - 5 years
I am currently employed as a financial planning assistant to an Australian client. I support Australian Financial Advisers by preparing and processing implementation paperwork based on the Statement of Advice, ensuring compliance and delivering high-quality client service. I maintain and organize client data within financial planning software, summarizing key details to support efficient planning and reviews. I manage the full application workflow—from preparing and submitting forms to tracking progress and following up—while also communicating with super and investment providers to gather client information and confirm requirements.
Experience: 2 - 5 years
I worked as an internal auditor for 3 years and 8 months. I conducted regular operational and financial audits across various branch locations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. I also performed investigative audits when potential fraud was detected, either during routine audits or through reports from branch staff. I delivered objective audit findings and provided actionable recommendations to help branches address issues and maintain adherence to company standards.
Experience: 1 - 2 years
During my undergraduate years, I became a financial secretary in our local church. I also became the bookkeeper of our Student Council for one year.
Experience: 6 months - 1 year
While I was pursuing a financial management career path, I am also a passionate creative writer. I write literary compositions. I became a part of our student publication in the university that I graduated from.
