Profile Description

Mechanical and Structural Design Engineer with extensive experience in the design, detailing, and analysis of equipment and infrastructure for the steel fabrication, hydro-power, oil & gas and mining industries. Skilled in developing mechanical and structural systems including storage tanks, pipe supports, drainage and dewatering systems, filling and emptying pipe systems, temporary structures, lifting equipment and access ramps. Proficient in conducting Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate design concepts, optimize structural performance and generate comprehensive engineering reports with practical design improvement recommendations.

Experienced in preparing detailed pipe routing, piping isometrics, fabrication drawings, shop drawings, BOM extractions, material take-offs and CNC-ready files. Strong capability in both 2D and 3D modeling workflows from conceptual development through final assembly and manufacturing documentation. Adept at ensuring compliance with international standards and codes including API 650, AS 4100, AS/NZS 1252, AS/NZS 1554, AS 1657, ASME and FEM standards.

Highly proficient in engineering and drafting software such as Advance Steel, AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, ANSYS, Nastran, STAAD, Ram Elements, Beamboy, Navisworks, Autodesk Vault and PTC Mathcad Prime. Experienced in coordinating with clients, engineers, fabrication teams and production personnel to ensure smooth project execution, drawing accuracy and successful transition from design to manufacturing. Strong attention to detail in verifying construction and fabrication drawings, resolving drawing discrepancies, and implementing revisions in accordance with client requirements and project specifications.
