Video Editor, Part-Time to Full-Time, $600-$1,500/month

I'm hiring one video editor, not a team, not an agency. If you're good, this becomes full-time fast. If you're just okay, it stays part-time or ends after the trial. That's the deal upfront.

What the job actually is:

- Editing YouTube videos: clean cutdowns, simple animations that match the pacing
- Facebook/Instagram Ads
- Instagram Reels
- Thumbnail design

Pay: $600-$1,500/month depending on your speed, quality, and how much of the workload you can take on. This isn't a teaser number. Editors who can carry more volume land at the top of that range within the first couple months.

Before you're hired, there's a trial.

1) A native-feeling Instagram-style video - I'll give you one to recreate.
2) The same idea, re-cut as a more polished ad.

I'll give you access to an Instagram account you can pull clips, images, and anything else from to build both. Use it. How resourceful you are with that access is part of what I'm judging not just your timeline skills.

Here's EXACTLY how to "win" the offer:

1) How closely you match each style: the native cut should feel native, the animated cut should feel like an ad. Same source, two different jobs. (Animated ad only needs 30 sec edited)
2) Whether your image and clip choices land in the right spot, not just the right general area.
3) Caption accuracy and placement.
4) Header/text copy: is it written well, not just slapped on.
5) Animation timing on the ad version: does it hit on beat and support the video, or just sit on top of it.
6) Pacing: how tight are your cutdowns.
7) Zero mistakes. No dead air, no leftover filler, no missed cuts. Clean means clean.

What you need:

Premiere Pro and After Effects, comfortable enough to not be figuring them out in real time
A portfolio or reel that shows actual cutdown/editing work, not just raw footage
