Video Editor — Short Form Content (Part Time)

We’re a family-owned soy candle brand based in Cortland, Ohio with over 20 years in business. We sell primarily DTC through our website and are growing fast on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
We’re looking for a talented part-time video editor who understands the DTC and ecommerce space and knows what makes short form content actually convert.
What you’ll be editing:
• UGC-style Meta ad creatives
• TikTok and Instagram Reels
• Product videos and launch content
• Founder and warehouse videos
• Stories and short form promotional content
What we’re looking for:
• Strong understanding of short form content — you know what hooks work, what keeps people watching, and what drives clicks
• Experience editing for DTC or ecommerce brands specifically
• Fast turnaround — we move quickly and need someone who can keep up
• Strong grasp of captions, text overlays, pacing, and sound design
• Eye for what performs on TikTok and Meta specifically
• Able to take raw footage and turn it into polished, scroll-stopping content with minimal direction
• Proficient in CapCut, Premiere Pro, or equivalent
Nice to have:
• Experience with candle, beauty, home goods, or CPG brands
• Familiarity with UGC ad formats and direct response creative
• Portfolio showing Meta or TikTok ad work
