Tomorrow Studios is a digital agency in British Columbia, Canada. We build, migrate, and scale Shopify stores for clients ranging from boutique brands to established retailers. We are a small, fast-moving, deeply technical team, and we use AI-powered workflows to deliver at a level that rivals much larger agencies.
We are hiring a senior developer to own client projects end to end.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own Shopify builds and migrations from kickoff to launch
- Run store migrations from BigCommerce, WooCommerce, and other platforms, including catalogue imports and cutover planning
- Build and customize themes with Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Integrate accounting and ERP systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, and similar), payment gateways, and fulfillment tools
- Manage product catalogues, metafields, and store data at scale
- Review other developers' work and raise the bar on how we ship
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must-haves:
- 5+ years of professional Shopify development, agency or multi-client background preferred
- Deep Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills
- Real migration experience: you have planned and run cutovers, not just imports
- Experience integrating Shopify with accounting or ERP systems
- AI-native workflow: you use tools like Claude, Cursor, or Copilot daily
- Excellent written English
- Reliable and self-directed: you can take a brief and run
- Available during North American business hours (Pacific to Eastern overlap)
Nice-to-haves: Shopify Plus or B2B, Hydrogen, Admin API and GraphQL, Git in a team workflow, Linear and Notion.
WHY JOIN
- You'll own projects, not tickets. Your work goes live for real brands.
- AI-first team. You'll sharpen your AI-augmented skills with people pushing hard on this.
- Stable full-time role with room to grow as we do.
HOW TO APPLY
1. Start your application with the name of your favorite ecommerce brand and one sentence on why their store is good.
2. Tell us about a migration or launch that went wrong: what happened, and what you do differently now. 3 to 5 sentences.
3. Describe one integration you built or fixed between Shopify and an accounting or ERP system. What was the hardest part?
4. Link 2 or 3 live Shopify stores you worked on and tell us exactly what you built on each.
5. Include your expected monthly rate and earliest start date.
Applications that skip these steps will not be reviewed.
