Role Overview
Zealie is seeking a highly organized, operationally-minded RCM Project Manager to support cross-functional execution, operational coordination, and strategic initiative management across the Revenue Cycle Management organization.
This role will partner closely with the VP of RCM and operational leadership teams to help drive accountability, maintain project visibility, coordinate cross-departmental initiatives, and reduce operational bottlenecks as the organization continues scaling rapidly. This is a 6 month contract.
The RCM Project Manager will serve as a centralized operational support partner across multiple RCM departments including billing, collections, utilization review (UR), verification of benefits (VOB), payer relations, medical records, quality control, onboarding, and related operational functions.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and can effectively manage competing priorities, operational complexity, and cross-functional communication while helping executive leadership remain focused on high-impact strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Cross-Functional Project & Operational Coordination
- Manage and track operational initiatives, action items, and cross-functional projects across the RCM organization.
- Partner with Directors and operational leaders to ensure deliverables, timelines, and dependencies are clearly documented and progressing appropriately.
- Serve as a centralized coordination point for operational follow-up, accountability tracking, and initiative visibility.
- Assist in translating executive discussions and operational meetings into organized execution plans and actionable next steps.
- Monitor project risks, bottlenecks, and delays while proactively escalating concerns to leadership.
- Coordinate operational priorities across multiple teams to ensure alignment and execution consistency.
Executive Operational Support
- Support the VP of RCM with operational follow-up, initiative management, meeting preparation, and cross-department coordination.
- Organize and maintain project trackers, operational dashboards, timelines, and accountability frameworks.
- Consolidate operational updates, summaries, and leadership reporting materials.
- Assist in preparing executive-level briefing materials, agendas, talking points, and operational summaries.
- Help reduce administrative and operational coordination burden from executive leadership.
Process Improvement & Scalability
- Identify operational inefficiencies, communication gaps, and workflow bottlenecks across departments.
- Support implementation of scalable operational processes, SOPs, and accountability frameworks.
- Assist with operational process redesign and workflow optimization initiatives.
- Partner with operational leaders to improve visibility, consistency, and execution across departments.
- Help support automation initiatives and operational readiness for future system enhancements.
Operational Reporting & Analysis
- Assist with gathering, validating, organizing, and summarizing operational data for leadership review.
- Support operational reporting tied to productivity, staffing, workload trends, payer performance, and other key RC
- Help identify trends, recurring operational issues, and areas requiring leadership attention.
- Assist in maintaining visibility into high-priority operational initiatives and escalations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Revenue Cycle, Sales, Client Success, Product, and Development teams to support operational alignment and execution.
- Help facilitate communication and follow-through across departments involved in shared operational initiatives.
- Support onboarding coordination, payer initiatives, workflow changes, and operational improvement projects.
- Assist leadership teams in maintaining alignment during periods of rapid organizational growth and change.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations, revenue cycle management, project management, or operational coordination roles.
- Experience supporting complex operational initiatives across multiple departments preferred.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
- Experience in behavioral health, healthcare revenue cycle management, or related healthcare operations preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong follow-through and accountability management skills.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments with evolving priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Experience working with operational reporting, project tracking tools, and process documentation preferred.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Excel/Sheets, project management platforms, and operational tracking tools preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required based on relevant experience.
