We are hiring 1-2 detail-oriented QA testers for Carby, a meal-planning iPhone app and website. This is not just a basic bug-checking role. We want someone who can go through the full user experience, notice confusing
This starts with a short interview exercise. The best reports will be hired for ongoing weekly QA work.
Requirements:
- You have access to a real iPhone.
- You can record your iPhone screen with microphone audio on.
- You write clear English.
- You can create a clean Google Doc report with screenshots, recordings, repro steps, and severity.
- You can test both a website and an iOS app.
To apply, start your application with the word MANGO and answer:
1. What iPhone model and iOS version do you have?
2. What QA/testing experience do you have?
3. Share one bug or confusing UX problem you found in any app or website, with repro steps in 2-3 sentences.
4. Are you comfortable recording your screen with voice narration and creating a Google Doc report?
Applications that do not start with MANGO will not be considered. This is an attention-to-detail test.
Qualified applicants will receive a short interview exercise through a Tally form. The interview exercise includes:
- 30-second tech-check screen recording with microphone on.
- One continuous narrated iPhone Safari test of the Carby quiz flow.
- A $0 tester checkout flow.
- Downloading and exploring the Carby iOS app.
- A Google Doc report with device, flow tested, expected vs actual behavior, repro steps, screenshots/recordings, severity P0-P3, UX friction, and suggested fixes.
Auto-fail for the interview exercise: no tech-check video, full recording has no audio, chat notes instead of a Google Doc, or missed deadline.
