Prompt Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a Prompt Engineer to design, develop, and optimize prompts for our AI-powered voice agents. In this role, you will work closely with AI developers, product managers, and QA engineers to create natural, accurate, and reliable conversational experiences.
You will be responsible for ensuring AI agents follow business rules, handle customer interactions effectively, and deliver consistent responses across multiple brands and use cases.

Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain prompts for Voice AI agents.
Create conversation flows that guide customers through booking, scheduling, lead qualification, FAQs, and customer support.
Optimize prompts to improve response quality, consistency, and accuracy.
Reduce AI hallucinations by implementing prompt guardrails and validation strategies.
Collaborate with developers to integrate prompts with APIs, CRM systems, and backend services.
Test AI conversations and identify areas for improvement.
Analyze conversation transcripts and customer interactions to refine AI behavior.
Document prompt versions, changes, and best practices.
Work with QA teams to validate AI behavior before production releases.
Continuously improve AI performance using production feedback and analytics.

Required Skills
Strong written communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Experience writing structured prompts for Large Language Models (GPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.).
Understanding of conversational AI and dialogue design.
Ability to think through complex customer interactions and edge cases.
Familiarity with prompt engineering techniques such as:
Role prompting
Few-shot prompting
Chain-of-thought concepts (when appropriate)
Structured outputs
Guardrails and constraints
Basic understanding of APIs and JSON.
Ability to analyze AI responses and troubleshoot inconsistencies.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Voice AI platforms (e.g., Connex AI, Vapi, Retell AI, Bland AI, ElevenLabs, Twilio).
Experience with CRM platforms such as ServiceTitan, Salesforce, or HubSpot.
Familiarity with AI evaluation and testing methodologies.
Basic programming knowledge (JavaScript, Python, or PHP) is a plus.
Experience working with REST APIs.
