Coalition LA is a Los Angeles-based women's apparel company specializing in women's outerwear, private label manufacturing, and wholesale distribution to boutiques and major retailers across the United States.
We are looking for a highly organized Product Development Coordinator / Technical Designer to support our Product Development and Design Team.
This is a long-term career opportunity with excellent growth potential.
Position Summary
You will work closely with our CEO, Sales Team, and overseas factories to transform design ideas into production-ready technical packages.
You will organize product development, prepare technical documentation, communicate with factories, and help move products from concept to production.
Responsibilities
Product Development
Create professional Tech Packs
Prepare Illustrator flat sketches
Build BOM (Bill of Materials)
Prepare measurement specifications
Organize colorways
Prepare trim sheets
Maintain development calendar
Track sample status
Technical Design
Update Tech Packs based on comments
Revise measurements
Prepare grading information
Organize construction details
Prepare factory instruction sheets
Factory Communication
Communicate with overseas factories
Follow up on development samples
Track TOP and PP Samples
Organize development approvals
Prepare production comments
Design Support
Organize inspiration images
Build presentation boards
Prepare trend research
Organize fabric libraries sending trend look for swatches to factory
Prepare color cards
Assist with buyer presentations
AI & Digital Tools
Use ChatGPT to improve workflow
Assist with AI-generated product descriptions
Organize digital files
Help prepare presentations
Qualifications
Degree in Fashion Design, Apparel, or Product Development preferred.
Minimum 3 years of apparel product development experience.
Strong Adobe Illustrator skills.
Experience creating professional Tech Packs.
Excellent English communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
