*** About the Role ***

If you want editing work that actually matters, this is it!

Engage Video Production (EVP) creates educational and communication-focused video for aerospace, defense, and other technical clients. You will help turn complex subjects into something clear and usable, whether that means explaining how satellites stay in orbit, helping engineers communicate their work, or building training content people can actually follow. The work is structured and built for real-world use, not just visuals.

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week role working directly with the Creative Director. Projects range from short explainers to long-form training content. Aerospace and defense are our core specialties, but our projects vary widely, so we need an editor who is adaptable, technically proficient, and comfortable shifting styles to fit each client's goals.

If you need reminders to respond or follow up, this is not a fit. If you spot issues early, communicate clearly, and take ownership of your work, keep reading.

*** The Three Pillars of Success at EVP ***

To succeed here, you need to live these three values:

Discipline: You follow through on every task without floundering or ghosting. You manage your time and meet deadlines without constant supervision.

Ownership / Initiative: You do more than complete tasks. You look for ways to improve the work and support the team.

Integrity / Accountability: You own your mistakes right away. You have the backbone to point out errors for correction, even your own, because precision here is non-negotiable.

*** Role Overview ***

You will execute the editing of active projects under the guidance of our Creative Director. Aside from syncs and updates to align on priorities, you work independently. You are responsible for your output, your timeline, and how you communicate progress.

The ideal candidate works independently on assigned tasks, manages large volumes of data, and communicates proactively. You take pride in technical accuracy and understand how a project's storytelling drives results for the client.

*** Core Responsibilities ***

Video Editing: Edit short- and long-form content from start to finish, with strong storytelling and pacing on every project.

Media Management: Organize, sync, and manage large volumes of footage. You must be comfortable with projects ranging from hundreds of gigabytes to multiple terabytes.

Technical Finishing: Perform professional color correction and grading on all deliverables, including RAW workflows, and keep visual consistency.

Audio and Sound Design: Integrate music, handle basic audio cleanup and mixing, and make sure sound design fits the project's goals.

Graphics: Apply motion graphics, titles, and lower thirds as the project requires, for a polished, professional product.

Feedback and Coordination: Implement revisions efficiently and meet agreed deadlines. You will coordinate daily with the Creative Director and, when applicable, other editors or freelancers.

Communication: This is part of the job, not an extra. Send progress updates as needed, flag blockers early and suggest solutions, and stay aligned with the Creative Director and company priorities. Silent work does not fly here.

*** Required Qualifications ***

Professional Background: Real experience in video editing (freelance or agency), with a solid grasp of pacing, storytelling, and professional delivery formats.

Software: Solid working proficiency in DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro. Resolve is our preferred NLE, but we welcome expert Premiere editors who deliver professional results.

Technical Foundations: Strong audio cleanup and mixing, plus color correction and grading workflows.

RAW Workflow (Preferred): Experience editing and grading RED RAW footage. If you have not handled RED RAW, you must be a fast learner who can manage complex, high-resolution media.

Data and Infrastructure: A reliable, high-speed internet connection is non-negotiable. You will regularly receive hundreds of gigabytes to terabytes of footage and must be comfortable managing that volume.

Autonomy and Communication: Excellent written English and a proactive approach to reporting. You work without micromanagement and stay vocal about timelines, challenges, and progress.

*** Bonus / Preferred Skills ***

- Motion graphics (Fusion, After Effects, or similar)
- Graphic design for diagrams or visual explainers
- Experience with technical, educational, or corporate content
- Familiarity with ---------- or structured feedback workflows
- Interest in aerospace, defense, or technical subjects

*** Compensation ***

Hourly Rate: $4.00 to $8.00 USD per hour. Your starting rate depends on experience and demonstrated skill.
This is a full-time role and full-time is what we are after. That said, if you are clearly qualified but can only commit part-time right now, apply anyway and tell us your availability.

Full-Time (40 hrs/week): $640 to $1,280 USD per month (about 39,000 to 78,000 PHP).
Part-Time (20 hrs/week): $320 to $640 USD per month (about 20,000 to 39,000 PHP).
[*Conversions are approximate.]

*** A Note on AI and Judgment ***

At EVP, we use advanced tools every day. But this role requires real human judgment and radical integrity. We are hiring a human, not a prompt.

If you use AI to draft your personal responses in the "How to Apply" section, you fail the first test of this role: honesty. We want your real thoughts and your real personality so we can tell whether you fit our team. If your application has no genuine human voice, it will be discarded. Use AI to assist your workflow later. Do not use it to represent your character now.

*** How to Apply ***

Follow these steps exactly. Attention to detail is part of the job.

- Set your subject line to: "Passionate Video Editor - [Your Name]"
- Use a minimum of 7 apply points (AP).
- Provide a link to your best and most current editing work. Include anything you want to highlight, such as motion-graphics-heavy editing. No portfolio means no consideration.
- State the 10th word of our "Three Pillars" section.
- In exactly two sentences, describe your experience with RED RAW footage. If you have none, explain how you plan to handle the learning curve and hardware demands of high-resolution RAW media. Plain English only. No AI-generated fluff.
- Attach or link to your CV/resume in PDF format only.
- Want to stand out? Record a 60-second video (Loom or similar) introducing yourself. Tell me why you are the right pick and what interests you about aerospace and defense. Start the video by addressing me by name (Ryan). Applicants who include this video move to the top of the list.

Thanks for your time and genuine interest.
