High Paying Work from Home General Manager Role for Fast Growing and Leading UK Cleaning Company

Location: Remote (UK-based cleaning business)

Working Hours:

Monday–Friday

8 AM–7 PM UK time

Salary:

$1,000–$2,000 per month guaranteed base salary

This is a fixed monthly salary rather than hourly or temporary work. Performance bonuses may also be available.

Position:

We are looking to hire 2 highly confident, organised and experienced home-based General Managers to join our team in permanent, long-term positions.

This will initially be a hands-on role. You will personally operate many of our sales, customer fulfilment, cleaner support, recruitment and onboarding processes.

The systems and processes are already built out for you. Once you understand how everything operates and the company continues growing, the role will gradually become more focused on managing the VA sales representatives, VA fulfilment representatives, cleaners and other VA tea ---------- mbers performing these responsibilities.

Job Overview:

The main focus of this role will initially be sales and customer fulfilment.

You will answer incoming enquiries, speak confidently with potential customers, understand their requirements, handle objections and convert leads into booked cleaning jobs.

You must have exceptionally strong spoken English and be highly confident communicating with UK customers, cleaners and tea ---------- mbers.

This is not a quiet back-office position. You will regularly handle sales calls, complaints, difficult conversations, team-management situations and important decisions.

You will manage customers throughout their full journey, including sending quotes, completing follow-ups, answering enquiries, conducting post-clean calls, requesting reviews and referrals, sending invoices, collecting payments and identifying upselling opportunities.

When a customer has a complaint or problem, you will be expected to take ownership, communicate confidently and continually look for the next best solution rather than simply explaining why the problem happened.

You will also recruit, interview, onboard, support and eventually manage cleaners, VA sales representatives, VA fulfilment representatives and other VA tea ---------- mbers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Handling Inbound Enquiries and Sales:
Managing incoming calls, messages and enquiries through Close CRM, SMS, WhatsApp and Google Local Service Ads.
Speaking with customers using exceptionally strong, clear and professional English.
Building strong rapport with potential customers.
Understanding each customer’s cleaning requirements.
Converting enquiries into booked cleaning jobs.
Sending quotes and following up with potential customers.
Handling objections confidently.
Managing the full sales cycle from the initial enquiry through to the completed booking.
Booking jobs, saving drafts and sending quotes through our booking software, BookingKoala.
Keeping customer, lead and booking information accurate and updated.

2. Customer Fulfilment:
Managing customer communication before, during and after cleaning appointments.
Answering customer questions about upcoming cleans.
Completing post-clean follow-up calls.
Asking customers for reviews and referrals.
Identifying opportunities to upsell additional or recurring services.
Sending invoices and ensuring payments are completed.
Handling customer complaints confidently, calmly and professionally.
Taking ownership of problems and continually looking for the next best solution.
Making sure customers receive an excellent service throughout the full process.

3. Cleaner Management and Support:
Managing cleaner schedules, availability and calendars inside our booking software.
Confirming cleaners’ attendance before upcoming jobs.
Monitoring whether cleaners arrive at jobs on time.
Supporting cleaners with job-related questions and enquiries.
Conducting weekly support calls with cleaners.
Managing cleaner performance and resolving issues.
Handling cleaner complaints or concerns.
Monitoring cleaner availability, workloads and calendar capacity.
Helping cleaners progress through their ramping period until they have a full and consistent calendar.

4. Cleaner Recruitment and Onboarding:
Contacting and following up with cleaner applicants.
Reaching out to applicants who have not yet scheduled an interview and getting them booked in.
Coordinating and managing interview scheduling.
Reviewing cleaner applications.
Conducting scheduled virtual interviews with cleaner applicants.
Assessing whether candidates should progress, be rejected or be hired.
Recording clear interview notes, feedback and hiring decisions.
Maintaining communication with applicants throughout the recruitment process.
Conducting onboarding and proficiency calls with successful applicants.
Explaining company standards, expectations and processes.
Ensuring all required onboarding steps are completed and recorded.
Supporting new cleaners throughout their initial ramping period.

5. Sales and Fulfilment Team Recruitment and Onboarding:
Contacting VA applicants for sales, fulfilment and other internal VA positions.
Reaching out to VA applicants who have not yet scheduled interviews.
Coordinating and managing virtual interview schedules.
Reviewing applications and screening candidates.
Conducting scheduled virtual interviews.
Assessing whether candidates should progress, be rejected or be hired.
Recording interview notes, feedback and hiring decisions.
Maintaining communication with VA applicants throughout the recruitment process.
Onboarding and training successful candidates.
Supporting new VA representatives as they learn their responsibilities.
Ensuring all recruitment and onboarding steps are logged correctly.
Eventually managing the VA tea ---------- mbers you help recruit and onboard.

6. Team Management and Training:
Managing VA sales representatives, VA fulfilment representatives and other VA tea ---------- mbers.
Delegating responsibilities and ensuring work is completed correctly.
Monitoring performance and providing regular feedback.
Conducting weekly team training sessions.
Improving sales, customer service and operational performance across the team.
Maintaining clear communication between VA tea ---------- mbers and departments.
Holding VA tea ---------- mbers accountable for their responsibilities.
Ensuring company processes and standards are consistently followed.

7. Systems, Metrics and Administration:
Managing leads, customer communication and follow-ups through Close CRM.
Keeping customer, booking and team records accurate and organised.
Tracking important sales, fulfilment, recruitment and team-performance metrics.
Staying on top of KPIs and identifying where performance needs to improve.
Reviewing the numbers and making decisions based on the results.
Identifying problems, weaknesses and inefficiencies within current systems.
Suggesting and implementing process improvements.
Helping improve efficiency across sales, customer fulfilment, recruitment and management.
Reporting performance, problems, decisions and progress directly to the owner.
Learning and using new software confidently.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience: Candidates must have previous sales and people-management experience.

English Communication: Exceptionally strong spoken and written English is essential. You must be able to communicate clearly, naturally and confidently with UK customers.

Confidence: You must be highly confident handling sales calls, objections, complaints, team conversations and difficult situations.

Leadership Skills: You must be capable of managing cleaners, VA sales representatives, VA fulfilment representatives and multiple areas of the business.

Systems Thinking: Able to identify inefficiencies, improve processes and help create scalable systems.

Work Environment:

Equipment: Candidates must have a reliable computer, strong internet connection, a professional headset and a quiet home-working environment.

Location Reliability: Candidates must work from a location with reliable electricity and internet that is not frequently disrupted by severe weather, natural disasters or recurring infrastructure issues. A backup internet or power solution is strongly preferred.
