We are a newly established and rapidly growing civil and demolition company located at Sydney, Australia providing an integrated suite of services across the construction sector. Our core offerings include demolition, bulk and detail excavation, shoring and foundation piling, as well as plant and equipment hire. We specialise in packaging these services to builders and developers across residential, commercial, and infrastructure sectors.

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Quantity Surveyor / Estimator with a solid background in civil and demolition works. The ideal candidate will have specific experience in shoring, demolition, and excavation—both in quantifying and pricing these scopes from architectural and engineering documentation.

This role involves preparing detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), marking up drawings to reflect scope, and working with our team to finalise costings prior to client submission.

Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyse construction drawings and specifications to extract and quantify scope-specific works.

Prepare accurate and detailed BOQs for:

- All types of piling works

- Shoring and foundation piling

- Bulk and detailed excavation

Demolition works, including:

- Full interior demolition

- Full building demolition

- Commercial and retail strip-outs

- Make-good and de-fit works

Mark up and annotate drawings to clearly show quantified items included in BOQs.

Collaborate with the team to review and validate take-offs prior to pricing.

Input unit and material rates where required to support cost planning.

Prepare clear and professional quotation packages for submission to clients.

Liaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors as needed for clarification or verification.

Key Requirements:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in quantity surveying and estimation within civil, excavation, and demolition works.

Proven ability to quantify and price:

Demolition works (interior, full building, strip-out, de-fit)

Excavation and shoring packages

Proficient in the use of:

Bluebeam Revu

MudShark

Or similar quantity surveying/take-off software (Advise what software has been previously utilized)

Excellent understanding of construction methodologies, especially early works and demolition staging.

Fluent in spoken and written English, with strong documentation and communication skills.

High attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.

Desirable:
Experience in working for or alongside civil and demolition contractors.

Familiarity with plant and equipment hire pricing structures.

Knowledge of local construction codes, regulations, and market rates.

Proficient ability in excel.
