Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role involves electrical design, project coordination, system analysis, and technical documentation. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure accurate planning, safe installations, and seamless execution of all electrical works—from concept design to project completion.

Key Responsibilities
Electrical Engineering & Design

Electrical System Design: Develop, review, and interpret electrical plans, schematics, and load calculations.
Technical Specifications: Prepare detailed specifications, diagrams, SLDs (single-line diagrams), and layout drawings.
Material & Equipment Selection: Determine appropriate electrical components, materials, and equipment required for projects.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs meet electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Project Coordination & Client Management

Site Coordination: Work with contractors, site engineers, and electricians to ensure proper installation and site execution.
Client Communication: Liaise with clients to clarify requirements, provide technical updates, and explain engineering decisions.
Documentation: Prepare project reports, progress updates, testing results, QA/QC records, and risk assessments.
Change Management: Document revisions to electrical plans and update load calculations, cost impacts, and schedules accordingly.

Testing, Maintenance & Quality Control

System Testing: Perform testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment.
Preventive Maintenance: Evaluate system performance and recommend maintenance schedules or upgrades.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all electrical work follows safety protocols, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and hazard assessments.

Financial Administration & Office Support

Cost Estimation: Prepare electrical cost estimates, material take-offs, and assist in budget planning.
Invoice & Documentation: Support invoicing, procurement coordination, and inventory updates for electrical materials.
Technical Records: Maintain accurate documentation, permits, and electrical certification records.

Required Skills & Experience
Technical Requirements

Electrical Engineering: Proven experience in electrical design, installation supervision, testing, and commissioning.
Codes & Standards: Strong understanding of local electrical codes, NEC/IEC standards, and safety regulations.
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in electrical drafting tools (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar) and testing instruments.
Project Knowledge: Familiarity with construction processes, electrical layouts, and engineering documentation, and project management using Tradify.

Professional Skills

Analytical Ability: Strong problem-solving and technical analysis skills.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication for client and contractor coordination.
Organization: Ability to handle multiple projects, documentation, and scheduling tasks efficiently.
Adaptability: Capable of managing both office-based work and technical project duties.
