Full-Time Draftsman & Material Procurement Assistant (Cedreo Experience Required)

About Us

We are a U.S.-based residential development company specializing in multi-unit townhomes and single-family homes. We are looking for a highly skilled and reliable Draftsman who is experienced with Cedreo and can also support our team with material procurement based on house and site plans. This role is a long-term, full-time position with consistent hours and opportunities for growth.

Position Overview

The Draftsman & Procurement Assistant will be responsible for producing accurate blueprints, site plans, and construction drawings using Cedreo, based on our existing plan sets. In addition, this person will assist in gathering material quantities, sourcing materials, and coordinating with vendors for pricing and availability. Attention to detail, strong communication, and reliability are essential.

Key Responsibilities
Drafting & Plan Development (Primary Role)

Create and modify house plans, blueprints, and site plans using Cedreo.

Update existing plan sets based on markups, engineering requirements, and construction feedback.

Ensure all drawings meet company drafting standards and are construction-ready.

Produce 2D and 3D renderings, layout plans, and elevation drawings as needed.

Organize and maintain all design files, revisions, and documentation.

Material Procurement Support

Extract and compile material lists from plan sets (lumber, finishes, fixtures, hardware, etc.).

Assist in sourcing vendors, obtaining quotes, and comparing pricing.

Track materials, quantities, lead times, and basic construction components.

Communicate with our project team to ensure material choices match project specifications.

Qualifications

Required: Hands-on experience with Cedreo (please provide samples of work).

Strong drafting background (architectural, residential, or construction experience preferred).

Understanding of U.S. residential construction terminology.

Ability to read, interpret, and revise construction drawings.

Experience with material takeoffs or procurement is a strong advantage.

Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

Must be able to work 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM CST Monday through Friday (fixed schedule).

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of estimating or takeoff software.

Background in construction, architecture, or engineering.

Experience coordinating with U.S.-based companies or builders.

Ability to learn new tools quickly and follow detailed instructions.
