Virtual Assistant Wanted – Construction Company (NZ-Based)

King Construction is a growing construction business based in New Zealand. We're looking for an experienced, reliable Virtual Assistant to help streamline our operations and support our team.

About the Role

We need a proactive VA who understands the construction industry and can hit the ground running with our existing systems. This is a long-term opportunity for the right person.

Requirements


Background in construction industry admin/support (previous experience working with a construction, building, or trades company preferred)
Experience/expertise using WunderBuild project management software (this is essential — please don't apply if you haven't used it before)
Solid experience with Xero, including bank reconciliation, invoicing, and integrations
Good filing and document organisation skills
Knowledge of how to build SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for individual construction tasks and processes
Comfortable using Claude AI (or willing/able to learn quickly)
Able to set up automated email follow-ups and replies
Strong written English communication skills
Willing to learn and adapt to new systems and ways of working
Reliable internet connection and own equipment
Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision


Responsibilities


Manage and update jobs/projects within WunderBuild
Handle Xero bookkeeping tasks and keep financial records accurate and up to date
Maintain organised digital filing systems for jobs, clients, and admin documents
Develop and document SOPs for each construction task/process across the business
Set up and manage automated email follow-up sequences and replies
Use Claude AI to help build out systems, SOPs, and admin workflows
General administrative support as required
Assist with process improvement as the business scales


Pay

Competitive rate, based on experience.
