Certified Medical Biller/Coder Virtual Assistant

RemoteSolutionsVA is hiring on behalf of a growing U.S.-based Vascular & Orthopedic Specialty Practice seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Certified Medical Biller/Coder VA.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in orthopedic, vascular, surgery, pain management, interventional radiology, or other specialty medical practices.

Requirements
? Active AAPC Certification, either CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) (Required)
? Minimum of 1 year of Medical Billing and/or Medical Coding experience
? Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
? Experience with claim submission, payment posting, AR follow-up, and denial management
? Familiarity with commercial insurance, Medicare, and prior authorizations
? Excellent English communication skills
? Reliable internet connection and dedicated remote workspace

? Orthopedic Billing & Coding
? Vascular Surgery Billing & Coding
? Interventional Radiology Billing
? Surgical Specialty Practice Experience
? EMR/EHR experience

Position Details
Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Rate During Probation: $7.00/hour (first 3 months)
Rate After Evaluation: $8.00/hour (based on performance review)

Responsibilities
Review and assign accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
Submit clean claims to insurance carriers
Follow up on denied, rejected, and unpaid claims
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
Process payment posting and account reconciliation
Maintain compliance with billing and coding regulations
Work closely with providers and administrative staff to resolve billing issues
