Mental Ease Psychiatry is a growing outpatient psychiatric practice in Florida seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Medical Billing and Insurance Credentialing Specialist to join our remote team. We are looking for someone who is reliable, organized, proactive, and experienced with U.S. medical billing and provider credentialing.
This is a long-term position with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities
Medical Billing
Submit electronic claims to commercial insurance companies and Medicare/Medicaid
Monitor claim status and follow up on denied or unpaid claims
Correct claim errors and resubmit claims promptly
Post insurance and patient payments
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advice (ERAs)
Work aging accounts receivable (AR)
Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim issues
Assist with patient billing questions
Credentialing
Credential and recredential providers with insurance companies
Complete CAQH enrollment and maintenance
Submit applications to commercial payers
Track credentialing applications through completion
Maintain provider licenses, DEA, NPI, malpractice insurance, and other required documentation
Update provider information with insurance companies
Monitor credential expiration dates
Qualifications

Required
Minimum 2 years of U.S. medical billing experience
Minimum 2 years of insurance credentialing experience
Experience with psychiatric or behavioral health billing preferred
Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
Experience working with commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid
Knowledge of claim denial management
Excellent written and spoken English
Strong attention to detail
Reliable high-speed internet
Ability to work independently

Preferred
Experience with Charm EHR
Experience with Availity, CAQH, PECOS, and payer portals
Familiarity with Florida insurance plans
Knowledge of psychiatric billing and medication management services
Work Schedule
Part-time preferred
Monday through Friday
U.S. Eastern Time business hours preferred
