Video Editor Needed — YouTube Career Content Channel (Weekly Retainer)
The Office Memo is a growing YouTube channel featuring Maya, a character who shares first-person career stories and lessons for young professionals. We’re looking for a skilled video editor to join our team full-time on a weekly/monthly retainer basis.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Editing 4 videos per week based on detailed scripts and structure briefs
• Animating our character at key emotional ---------- nts (hook, major reveals, final verdict)
• Creating clean, branded STAT CARD graphics to display statistics on screen
• Mixing animated scenes, motion graphics, and visual storytelling to keep every video dynamic
• Maintaining scene variety — no repeated backgrounds or visual layouts
• Adding simple animated text, charts, and diagrams to support key points
What We’re Looking For
• Experience editing YouTube content, ideally in the talking-head or character-driven storytelling space
• Comfortable working with motion graphics and simple animation (you’ll receive clear direction on what’s needed for each video)
• Strong sense of pacing — our content depends on visual variety to maintain viewer retention
• Able to work from a detailed weekly brief and deliver consistent quality across multiple videos
• Reliable communicator who can hit weekly deadlines
Compensation
• Weekly/monthly retainer (rate based on experience — please share your rate expectations)
• Ongoing, full-time role as part of a growing content channel
