WordPress Developer with Problem-Solving Skills

Web Developer Position

I need a developer who is technically savvy and knows how to closely match design styles. This is not a raw coding job – this is a problem-solving role requiring careful attention to detail where you make websites come to life based on concepts and overcome roadblocks to make it happen.

What You'll Be Doing

I will present you with inspiration examples or complete design mockups. I need a highly proficient developer to turn my ideas into fully functional websites. This can be challenging, so I need someone who understands the complexity of making everything work great for users whether they're viewing on tablet, desktop, or phone. Websites will be built on various page builders such as Themeco Pro, Elementor, and Divi with plugin integrations like ACF and other carefully selected systems that achieve goals for our clients.

This is a Problem-Solving Job

As a developer, you'll be given a mission and you'll need to problem-solve to make it happen. This requires being creative in your approach. I don't need someone who knows how to simply plug content into templates. When given a visual, having strong skills to think about what needs to be done to make it come alive is very important. Sometimes we have unique challenges – for example: how to customize an element in a page builder, make it animate, and make it resize while keeping challenging aspect ratios in place. Being able to solve these unique challenges is a must.

Technical Knowledge Needed

While I'm not looking for an expert, knowledge of how plugins work with WordPress and how to use loopers in a page builder to call dynamic data is important. You should know about form plugins, connecting Google CAPTCHA, and inserting code into headers. You don't need to proficiently write code, but you must have the mind that can read code and have a rough understanding of what is happening (html and CSS).

Design Understanding

You need understanding of margins, padding, responsive text values, and hierarchy structures of elements on a website – when to use them and why for clean design and smooth user experience. Basic knowledge of DNS records is a plus, but most importantly, I need someone who knows they have to understand how something works versus just copying and pasting code.

Attention to Detail

You must have strong attention to detail when taking an exact design example I give you and be able to turn it into its website development equivalent so the finished website matches the mockup style.

Quality Standards

As a meticulous web agency owner, I'm very precise on doing things the right way when building websites. I need someone who shares that value. It's not just about having it completed; it's about having clean development standards.

Team Environment

You'll be working on a team, and being able to communicate well with others is important. While teamwork is important, this also requires independence – being able to manage your time efficiently and reach deadlines.
