WordPress Developer / Website Designer

About Us: We are seeking a talented WordPress Developer to join our growing team and help us build and maintain high-performing, responsive, and visually appealing websites that provide an exceptional user experience.

Job Overview: As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. You will be expected to have a strong understanding of the latest industry trends and content management systems. This role requires a blend of programming skills (namely PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the color and font choices, and so on).

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins according to project requirements.
Ensure high-performance and availability, and manage all technical aspects of the CMS.
Work closely with designers to implement new features and functionalities.
Optimize websites for speed, scalability, and SEO.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across various browsers and devices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions for website direction, visuals, and features.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in WordPress development.
Conduct website performance tests and optimize site load time and performance metrics.
Ensure website accessibility and implement best practices for inclusive design.
Provide technical support and training to clients or internal team members.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a WordPress Developer, with a strong portfolio of past work.
Proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
Experience with PHP and MySQL.
In-depth knowledge of WordPress architecture, theme customization, and plugin development.
Familiarity with responsive design principles and frameworks.
Strong understanding of website optimization tools and techniques (e.g., caching, minification).
Knowledge of SEO best practices and website analytics.
Ability to convert comprehensive layouts and wireframes into working HTML pages.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Experience with version control (e.g., Git) is a plus.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON is a plus.
Experience with eCommerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience with website migration and hosting environments.
Familiarity with modern web technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Understanding of the full web development process, including design, development, and deployment.
