Pay: $9 per hour
Employment Type: Part-Time (with the potential to grow into a full-time role, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm EST)

We're looking for a part-time Website = Designer to join our team and handle a variety of design projects in the digital space.

Position Overview:

As a Website Designer at Simplified Marketing, you will contribute to creating visually engaging websites. It's a bonus if you can also support additional graphic designs. Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, your responsibilities will include designing website layouts, uploading content onto web pages for SEO, resolving website issues, and creating other creative assets. You'll work collaboratively with the team while taking ownership of your projects, making sure all deliverables are professional, polished, and meet client goals.

You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, handling strict deadlines, and shifting priorities as needed. Strong organization and attention to detail are critical.

While this is a part-time position, there’s potential for it to grow into a full-time role.

Key Responsibilities: Prioritized Tasks
– Web Graphic Design: Use Figma/Photoshop to create website layouts based on wireframe instructions, which will be handed off to the web developer for implementation.
– Website Content Upload: Add new content and create web pages on mainly WordPress websites and 1 Wix website
– Landing Page Design: Build visually appealing and functional website landing pages using tools like Elementor (mainly), Divi, Wix website builder, or WP Bakery.
– Theme Versatility: Work with multiple WordPress themes and builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, etc.)
- Supporting with graphics when possible using Canva to enhance and add to the website design layout

Additional Tasks
– Image Sourcing: Pull client and stock photos for use in website blogs, pages, and Google Business posts.
– Design Standards: Ensure all designs meet brand guidelines and are optimized for usability and visual appeal.
– Collaboration: Work closely with the team to meet deadlines, provide creative input, and adjust designs based on feedback.
– Project Management: Use tools such as Notion (similar to Asana or Trello) daily to organize tasks, communicate progress, and manage deadlines effectively.
– Miscellaneous Tasks: Assist with scheduling social media posts, organizing content folders, and supporting the marketing team with small admin tasks as needed.

Required Skills & Tools

– Web Design Proficiency: Strong experience with WordPress and some familiarity with Wix. Must be confident working with Elementor and comfortable navigating other themes like Divi and WP Bakery.
– Website Development: Able to build websites from the ground up. Should understand how to adjust layouts for responsiveness across devices. Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is preferred—especially for troubleshooting or minor style updates.– Project Management: Familiar with platforms like Asana, ClickUp, or Trello. Daily use of Notion is key for managing tasks and keeping projects on track.
– General Tools: Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and Word or Google Workspace tools.
– Design Sense: Strong eye for layout, spacing, and composition. Attention to detail is a must.
– Team Collaboration: Able to work closely with others, communicate clearly, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

– 3-4 years of web design experience.
– A solid portfolio that demonstrates your design capabilities across a variety of sites.
– Understanding of responsive design principles for mobile, tablet, and desktop layouts.
– Familiarity with design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, Figma, or Capcut (nice to have, but not required daily).
– Ability to generate custom images or graphics using AI tools. Not a daily task, but helpful if you're able to jump in when needed.
- Ability to design and build web pages using themes and website builders like Elementor, Divi, WP Bakery, etc.
– Able to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently under tight timelines.
