Wave Accounting Specialist

Job Description:
Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Wave Accounting and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing various accounting tasks, and ensuring the financial health of the organization. YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN WAVE ACCOUNTING. DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DON'T. MUST UNDERSTAND USA GAPP ACCOUNTING PRINCIPLES.
Key Responsibilities:
o MUST UNDERSTAND USA GAAP accounting principles
o Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
o Review posts and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded accurately.
o Manage accounts payable and receivable.
o Reconcile bank statements and ensure discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
o Prepare and process invoices, bills, and payroll.
o Accurately categorize transactions to ensure financial data is properly organized and recorded.
o Ensure all necessary financial information is collected and properly set up for new clients in the accounting system.
o Bi-monthly regularly reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
o Address any discrepancies promptly to maintain the integrity of financial records.
o Work closely with CEO to address questions and provide financial insights.
o Conduct bi-monthly review calls with CEO to discuss financial performance, answer questions, and provide recommendations.
o Prepare and present financial reports during these calls.
o Generate and review financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements, to ensure accuracy.
o Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
o Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
o Ensure US compliance with financial regulations and standards.
o Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Software Utilization:
o Utilize Wave Accounting to manage financial data and generate reports.
o Stay updated with software updates and best practices to maximize efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:
Language: Must have a mastery of English written and verbal.
• Have a Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• MUST be able to communicate in English at the mastery level.
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Wave Accounting or QuickBooks.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Expert in North American accounting practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification in bookkeeping or accounting (e.g., CPB, AIPB).
• Experience in a small business or startup environment.
• Familiarity with other accounting software and tools.
