Virtual Assistant with Interior Design Skills for Short-Term Rental Business

As a VA with interior design skills, you will play a critical role in transforming our rental units into aesthetically pleasing, functional, and marketable spaces. You will work closely with our team to develop design concepts, select furniture and décor, and coordinate design projects from start to finish—all while managing tasks remotely.

Responsibilities:

- Develop design concepts and mood boards that align with our brand and guest expectations.

- Select furniture, décor, and design elements that enhance the appeal and functionality of short-term rental properties.

- Source budget-friendly, stylish design options to maximize return on investment (ROI).

- Create floor plans and design layouts using design software or simple visual tools.

- Manage design-related administrative tasks, including vendor communication and inventory management.

- Coordinate orders, deliveries, and installations with vendors and on-site staff.

- Provide design input to improve the aesthetic appeal of listing photos and guest experiences.

- Assist with staging and styling spaces (virtually or by guiding local teams) to ensure they are photo-ready.

- Stay updated on design trends, particularly those that enhance short-term rental appeal.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in interior design, preferably with a focus on short-term rentals, hospitality, or real estate.

- Strong sense of style and ability to create inviting, on-brand spaces.

- Familiarity with design tools such as Canva, SketchUp, or similar software (preferred but not required).

- Excellent communication and project management skills.

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently.

- Creative problem-solving skills and a practical approach to design within budget constraints.

- High level of organization and attention to detail.
