Video Editor (Social Media) – Virtual Assistant, Remote

Sportnahrung Engel is a fast-growing German e-commerce brand in the sports nutrition and fitness niche, dedicated to providing athletes with the best supplements, sports nutrition, and fitness products. To grow our presence on social media, we are looking for a talented Video Editor to create scroll-stopping short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.

Your Role

As our Video Editor, you will turn raw footage and product material into engaging short-form videos that grab attention, build our brand, and drive sales. Video is your main focus, but you will also create graphics and images from time to time.

Responsibilities

- Edit short-form videos (Reels, TikToks, Stories) from raw footage, UGC, and product clips
- Add subtitles, captions, text overlays, transitions, sound effects, and music
- Cut long-form content (e.g. podcasts, interviews) into short, punchy clips
- Follow our brand style for a consistent look and feel across all platforms
- Create occasional static graphics and images for social media and promotions
- Stay on top of short-form trends, hooks, and formats that drive engagement
- Deliver multiple edits per week, reliably and on schedule

Requirements

- Proven experience editing short-form video for social media (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook): portfolio required
- Proficiency with video editing software (e.g. CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve)
- Strong sense of pacing, hooks, and storytelling for vertical, mobile-first video
- Basic graphic design skills (e.g. Canva, Photoshop) for images and thumbnails
- Good written English for communicating with the team
- Independent, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to hit deadlines
- Fast turnaround and openness to feedback and revisions
- A plus: interest in fitness, bodybuilding, or supplements

Note: Our content is in German. You do not need to speak German, but you should be comfortable working accurately with German-language captions and on-screen text.

- 10–15 hours per week to start, with the option to increase hours if it is a great fit
