I’m launching a faceless YouTube channel called Dead Money Diary, focused on the money behind sports decisions: contracts, salary caps, dead money, NIL, luxury tax, media rights, guarantees, buyouts, and the financial consequences behind major sports moves.
I’m looking for a video editor who can help create high-retention, documentary-style YouTube videos with a bold sports-broadcast feel.
The style should feel modern, sharp, and energetic, but not gimmicky. Think sports media meets financial analysis.
You should be comfortable editing with:
Voiceover narration
B-roll
Sports/business visuals
Charts and data graphics
On-screen numbers
Broadcast-style motion graphics
Headlines, tickers, and lower thirds
Sound design and music pacing
Retention-focused visual changes
Will provide:
Voiceover or scratch audio
Brand direction
Suggested visuals / asset notes
You will create a 8-10 minute video
The goal is to evaluate storytelling, pacing, visual taste, sports-business fit, and communication.
Ideal Candidate:
YouTube documentaries
Sports videos
Business/finance explainers
Faceless channels
Retention-focused long-form content
Bonus if you can create simple custom charts, cap tables, contract graphics, or broadcast-style overlays.
Budget
Test edit: $4/hour
Long-term work opportunity!
To apply please include:
2-3 relevant YouTube editing samples.
A short note on why your style fits this channel.
Your typical turnaround time for a 10-12 minute faceless YouTube video.
What software you edit in.
Whether you can create simple charts/motion graphics.
Applications without relevant samples will not be considered.
