US Accountant/Bookkeeper (Part-Time or Full-Time)

We are a growing U.S.-based fractional CFO firm serving service businesses throughout the United States. Our clients include HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other service companies.

We are looking for an experienced US Accountant/Bookkeeper who enjoys solving problems, working with multiple clients, and taking ownership of the accounting process.

This is not a data-entry bookkeeping position. You will be responsible for month-end close work, balance sheet reconciliations, resolving accounting issues, and preparing clean financials for CFO review.

What You'll Be Doing

• Month-end close work
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Investigating and resolving accounting discrepancies
• Journal entries and accrual accounting
• Supporting CFO-level client engagements
• Working with multiple clients simultaneously
• Preparing clean financials for CFO review

Required Experience

• Experience working in a CPA firm, accounting firm, bookkeeping firm, or fractional CFO firm
• Experience supporting multiple clients simultaneously
• Strong QuickBooks Online experience
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting
• Month-end close experience
• Journal entry experience
• Ability to reconcile complete balance sheets
• Ability to work through complex reconciliation issues and accounting discrepancies
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Reliable high-speed internet
• Professional appearance and workspace for video meetings
• Bonus if you have ServiceTitan experience

Tax experience is not important.
