At AAMP (Adventure & Activity Marketing Pros), we help adventure and tourism brands dominate digital. We are seeking a skilled and proactive Technical SEO Manager to join our growing remote team. This role will be instrumental in driving the performance and visibility of client websites through smart, scalable SEO strategies that focus on technical excellence.

Position Overview

The Technical SEO Manager will be responsible for auditing, implementing, and optimizing the backend SEO structure of multiple client websites. This role focuses heavily on website performance, crawlability, indexing, site architecture, structured data, and core web vitals. You’ll collaborate with designers, developers, and content creators to ensure SEO is baked into everything we do.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct in-depth technical SEO audits and provide actionable recommendations.
• Optimize website architecture, internal linking, and crawl efficiency.
• Identify and resolve issues related to indexing, rendering, site speed, and mobile usability.
• Implement and validate structured data (Upgrade to see actual info markup).
• Monitor Core Web Vitals and work with developers to improve performance.
• Manage redirects, canonical tags, hreflang, and robots.txt files.
• Collaborate on site migrations, domain changes, or new builds to preserve and improve rankings.
• Set up and optimize Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and other SEO platforms.
• Perform regular competitor analysis and backlink health checks.
• Stay up-to-date with algorithm changes and SEO best practices.
• Report on SEO performance and technical health using data dashboards or spreadsheets.

Required Skills & Qualifications
• 3+ years of hands-on technical SEO experience, preferably in an agency or multi-site environment.
• Deep knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS as it relates to SEO.
• Experience with WordPress and other CMS platforms (Shopify, Webflow, etc.).
• Strong grasp of Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
• Familiarity with schema markup, JSON-LD, and structured data testing tools.
• Experience with site speed optimization and Core Web Vitals metrics.
• Ability to create detailed SEO audits and explain recommendations clearly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications
• Basic knowledge of server-side rendering and JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, etc.).
• Familiarity with CDN platforms (Cloudflare, Akamai, etc.).
• Experience working with remote or offshore teams.
• Understanding of multilingual/multiregional SEO (hreflang, international targeting).
