JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a social media video editor to join the team!

We are Brands Meet Creators, a team of content creators who coach other creators and help partner brands + creators together to make money!

We are looking for a skilled short-form video editor who knows how to create engaging, high-performing clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. You will work directly with our marketing team.

If you love editing short-form content and know how to make a video perform well, this might be the perfect role for you.

WHAT YOU’LL BE EDITING:

-Turning long-form content (interviews, podcasts, Zoom calls, webinars) into attention-grabbing short-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. This includes adding in text overlays, animations, and using tools like zooming in and clean cuts to keep the video engaging.
-UGC Opportunity videos - these will be short videos edited to trending audio. You will use b-roll clips in the beginning and then use graphic overlays in sync with the trending audio.
-Creator Videos - you will be taking an unedited video from one of our coaches and turning it into an engaging video, trimming out pauses and adding in techniques to keep it engaging.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS:
-You need 100% English grammar skills are a must, especially because of the captions on screen.
-You need creative ideas for strong & compelling hooks to keep the audience on the video.
-You need to know how to find trending audio & syncing edits exactly on beat.
-You are skilled in Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Short formats & techniques for each of the different platform.
-You can add in graphics, text overlays, and effects that enhance storytelling.
-You know how to choose the best clips from a long-form video that tell a story, start to finish, and turn into a viral short-form clip.
-You understand pacing, audience retention, and how to keep viewers hooked.
-You can edit green screen videos and add dynamic graphics.
-You work fast without sacrificing quality.

VIDEO EDITING FOR SOCIAL MEDIA:

BONUS if you have graphic design skills and can create custom overlays!

We want you to take this video and trim out the pauses and unnecessary parts, add a hook, add subtitles, and use techniques to keep it interesting and engaging throughout.
