JOB OVERVIEW

Social Media Management Scope of Job for Asia Professional Speakers Singapore (APSS)

Objective: Enhance APSS's online presence, engage with members and potential members, promote events, and strengthen the community through effective social media management.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy Development:
- Develop a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with APSS’s goals and objectives.
- Create content calendars to plan and schedule posts in advance.

2. Content Creation:
- Produce high-quality, engaging content tailored to APSS’s brand and members.
- Design graphics and visuals using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Write compelling copy for posts, captions, and advertisements.

3. Content Management:
- Schedule and publish posts on platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
- Ensure consistency in APSS’s brand voice, style, and messaging.
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions promptly.

4. Event Promotion:
- Promote APSS events through social media channels to maximize attendance and engagement.
- Create event-specific content, including posts, stories, and promotional videos.
- Posting during events to provide real-time updates and engage with the members.

5. Advertising Campaigns:
- Plan, create, and manage paid social media campaigns to promote APSS content and events (optional).
- A/B test ad creatives and copy to determine best-performing strategies.

6. Collaboration:
- Work closely with APSS’s President and Executive Committee (especially the programming team) to promote APSS events and campaigns.
- To support the Speakers Academy and the Annual Convention Team for their campaign and website.

7. Compliance and Best Practices:
- Ensure all social media activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Follow ethical practices and maintain the integrity of APSS’s brand.

8. Website Design and Build:
- Design and build websites using platforms such as WordPress or Wix to support major APSS events like the Annual Convention and Speakers Academy.
- Create user-friendly, visually appealing websites that provide all necessary event information.
- Ensure websites are optimized for performance, SEO, and mobile responsiveness.
- Regularly update the websites with event details, speaker profiles, registration information, and other relevant content.

Expected Deliverables:
• A detailed social media strategy document.
• Monthly content calendars.
• Creative assets (graphics, videos, etc.) for social media posts.
• Fully functional, event-specific websites with all necessary features and information.

Tools and Platforms:
• Graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
• Advertising platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp posts)
• Website builders (e.g., WordPress, Wix)

Basic Requirements:
•Fluent in English with exceptional communication and writing skills
•High-quality computer with a webcam and reliable internet connection for Zoom meetings
•Proficiency in Design and Social Media Platforms (mentioned above)
•Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
•Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
•Initiative and discipline to work independently
•Uphold confidentiality and trustworthiness in handling sensitive information
•Availability to work during regular business hours in the Singapore Timezone
