WHO WE ARE
GUD Baseball (Ground Up Development Baseball, LLC) is a pitching and velocity development company founded by former MLB pitcher DJ. We train athletes remotely and in-house across Illinois and Michigan, and have helped 450+ pitchers develop their velocity — with 175+ reaching 90+ mph and 150+ earning Division I scholarships.
We are building a significant social media presence to grow our brand, generate leads, and establish DJ as the premier voice in pitcher velocity development. This role is central to that mission.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is not a filler role or a short-term project. We are looking for a Content Manager who wants to grow with a brand that is on a clear upward trajectory. The better our content performs, the more this role expands — in hours, responsibility, and compensation.
The minimum expectation is 1–2 posts scheduled per day. But the real goal is to build a content bank that runs weeks and months ahead. If you show up, do the work, and the numbers move — this position grows with us.
We have a defined content stack (Descript, OpusClip, Metricool) that makes this role highly efficient. You are not starting from scratch — you are running a process that compounds over time. The bigger the bank, the more stable and valuable this role becomes.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
1 — Transcription & Clipping
Access the designated upload folder where DJ drops raw coaching and content videos
Run each video through Descript to produce an accurate transcript of the spoken audio
Use OpusClip to identify and export the best 30–60 second clips from each video
All clips must stay under 60 seconds — this is a hard requirement for platform virality
Review clip selections for quality, clarity, and on-brand relevance before moving forward
2 — Captions & Hashtags
Write captions that accurately reflect and match the transcribed audio from each clip
Captions should feel natural, direct, and consistent with DJ's coaching voice
Add 5 high-traffic, niche-relevant hashtags per post targeting baseball pitchers ages 14–22 focused on velocity development
Hashtag research should prioritize reach within the baseball, pitching, and player development niche — not generic sports content
3 — Scheduling via Metricool
Use Metricool's Best Time to Post analytics to identify peak engagement windows for each platform individually
Each platform gets its own optimal posting time — do not schedule all platforms at the same time
Schedule across all 6 active platforms: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts,
Maintain the daily minimum of 1–2 posts published per day while continuously building the content bank ahead
The goal is to always have content scheduled weeks in advance — not day-to-day scrambling
4 — Content Bank Management
Track total posts in the bank at all times — know how many days of content are queued
Prioritize production volume during high-footage weeks to build the bank as far out as possible
Flag to DJ when the bank drops below 2 weeks of scheduled content so raw footage can be refreshed
Organize clips, captions, and scheduling notes in a shared folder or tracker for full transparency
PLATFORMS
Instagram — Reels + Feed Posts
TikTok — Short-form video
YouTube Shorts — Vertical shorts under 60 seconds
Facebook
X /
LinkedIn — Professional coaching content
CONTENT STACK (TOOLS YOU WILL USE)
Descript — Transcription of raw coaching footage. Produces accurate audio transcripts used for caption writing.
OpusClip — AI-powered clipping tool. Identifies and exports the best 30–60 second segments from longer raw footage.
Metricool — Scheduling and analytics platform. Used to find optimal posting times per platform and schedule all content in advance.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience with social media scheduling platforms — Metricool, Buffer, Later, or similar
Process-oriented — you follow a defined workflow consistently, not sporadically
Strong written English — captions must accurately reflect spoken audio and sound natural
Organized and self-managed — content must go out every single day without being chased
A long-term mindset — we are not looking for someone to fill a gap, we are looking for someone to grow into this role
Familiarity with baseball, sports performance, or fitness coaching content is a strong plus
Bonus: prior experience with Descript or OpusClip
WHAT GROWTH LOOKS LIKE
Months 1–3: Learn the stack, build the workflow, hit the daily minimum consistently, bank builds ahead
Months 3–6: Bank is 6–8 weeks ahead, role becomes more strategic — tracking performance, flagging top-performing content types
6+ Months: As follower growth and viewership increase, hours and compensation scale with results. Community management, performance reporting, and content strategy input become part of the role.
We are building toward 35–45k followers and 700k–1.2M monthly views. If you help get us there, you will not be sitting at the same rate and hours you started with.
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
Starting Rate: $5.00 USD per hour
Hours: 20 hours per week
Payment: Weekly via Wise or PayPal
Schedule: Flexible — daily posting cadence must be maintained regardless of your schedule
Position Type: Part-time with clear path to expanded hours based on performance
Start Date: ASAP
