Shopify Expert / CRO Specialist — Long-term, Proactive Store Manager

We run a growing DTC e-commerce brand (Shopify) that sells hand-drawn, customised art. We’re looking for a reliable, long-term Shopify expert to become our go-to person for everything related to the shop.
This is NOT a one-off job. We want a trusted tea ---------- mber we can rely on every day for any task relating to the shop, big or small. Some days there will be a lot of work, others less. You will be paid as a permanent member of the team to manage everything we need for the shop, for every task carried out. There is a likely possibility of receiving a fixed monthly salary, if the candidate is suitable.
First immediate project: We have an active Italian Shopify store and a separate English store with the foundation already in place. Your first task is to fully replicate the Italian store in the English one (layout, sections, product pages, structure).
Ongoing responsibilities:

Implement any changes, fixes or ideas we have for the store (theme modifications, Liquid, sections, product pages)
Proactively analyse the store and tell US what’s wrong — don’t just wait for instructions
Analyse session recordings (Microsoft Clarity / Hotjar) and identify UX issues
Propose and implement CRO (conversion rate optimisation) improvements
Be available every day to resolve issues quickly

You MUST have:

Solid hands-on experience with Shopify (theme customisation, Liquid, app integration)
Genuine knowledge of UX and CRO — not just “I know how to change colours”
A proactive mindset: we want someone who spots issues before we do
Good written English and fast, reliable communication

Desirable: experience with ---------- , Klaviyo, conversion analysis tools, and proficiency with AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, etc.).
