Senior Software Engineer

Sona is a B2B software platform for demand-generation marketers. Our dynamic team is growing, and we are seeking a talented senior software engineer to join our team. You’ll primarily focus on front-end focused development both supporting our B2B software application and our marketing websites. Ideal candidates should possess strong experience in PHP and React, a solid understanding of relational databases, and proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You should have strong understanding of object-oriented analysis, design, and programming techniques.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with product, engineering, and development teams to design, build, and maintain systems
- Develop and maintain a B2B web application with Laravel and React.
- Expertise in HTML/CSS and commitment to pixel-perfect, responsive web design
- Troubleshoot issues across the entire Sona technology stack
- Plan for the growth of Sona’s infrastructure
- Proactively identify and address system reliability risks
- Working alongside regional and global teaUpgrade to see actual infombers
- Plan and build automation processes to debug complex issues

Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional experience in service infrastructure, reliability engineering, software engineering, or systems engineering
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming with high-level languages such as Java and interpreted languages such as Python, PHP and JavaScript
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals
- Systems thinking — their edge cases, failure modes, and lifecycles
- Experience working with relational databases
- Experience in distributed systems at scale with regard to testing, reliability, security, and observability
- Ability to write high-quality code in at least one programming language such as PHP or Python
- Good communication skills, including being able to explain technical concepts to non-technical peers

Training for the position will be provided.
