I am the founder of a marketplace website called Room & Care (roomandcare.com). It is similar to airbnb, but it's specifically designed for Assisted Living and Adult Family Homes and Nursing Homes for the elderly. When one of these homes has an empty room available for an elderly person, they can list it on our website with photos, pricing, and contact info. When a family needs to find care for an elderly parent, they can go on our website and search their city to see all the available rooms nearby. They can contact any business with questions, book the room and pay their monthly rent through our website.

We are looking for a self sufficient master of everything SEO related. The ideal candidate is a very committed person seeking steady and long-term employment in a position that will help thousands of elderly people and business owners. This position is part-time for now, with the possibility of full time in the next 6-9 months. We are currently in 2 states - Washington state and Oregon but will soon be expanding our sales team to 7+ states. Job Description:

You will be in charge of everything SEO related for our company. We are a newer company with very little traffic. We launched one year ago in WA state and started calling and sign up businesses around Washington state. We now have over 30% of all the businesses signed up in Washington and also 30% of all the businesses in Oregon. We have an SEO person who has been working with us for about 9 months, but the work seems to have hit a bit of a plateau where the traffic and rankings do not seem to be increasing. We hope your fresh ideas and SEO strategies will get our rankings and traffic climbing in the right direction again. It is a Marketplace which makes it unique for SEO compared with other types of websites. We need on-page, technical, and off-page SEO so we need a person who is an expert in all 3.

Your job will be to come up with a detailed strategy for exactly what needs to be done and how to do it. You need to be able to do everything with minimal supervision or help. We will rely on you as the expert. You will locate exactly what needs to be fixed on our site and explain to us how you will do it, and what it will improve. It will be the same with written blog content and off-page strategy. Some of your job will include:

Constantly auditing our site to improve site speed, indexing, crawlability, security, URLs, schema etc

Writing quality SEO friendly blog posts or other content for our website with lots of keyword research

Researching what makes Marketplace SEO different from other types of SEO, and utilizing those techniques

High quality link building, guest posting, social media posting etc

We will also ask you to report any bugs that you may spot while working on the website. We are a new site and are constantly working to fix bugs. We ask that you take a screenshot and email the screenshot and/or explain in the email if something is not working correctly.

Reporting:

You will be reporting directly to me. In the first few weeks, we will be working together closely through email so reporting will not be necessary. Once we are on the same page and we both agree on the strategy and tasks ahead, you will send a weekly report of your progress, written content, links, traffic, or what you worked on each day. If you are ever stuck on anything and if there's something I can help with, you can contact me anytime.

Training:

You will be working directly with me to personalize a tailored SEO plan/strategy for our site. Once we are happy with it, and you know what you need to do going forward, I will get out of your way and you will continue on your own. You will always have direct email contact with me for anything that might come up that you need help with. Our site is pretty unique with the way it is designed, and I am always happy to explain anything and everything you may have questions about. Also, I can always help with blog topics, proofreading, or anything content related.

Our company is near Seattle, WA USA and the time zone is Pacific Time. I am available any time of the day or evening usually between 8am - 1030pm Pacific Time.

This is a part time position for 4 hours per day. You do not need to work on Pacific Time, but expect that I will answer any emails during these hours.
