We are a growing U.S.-based construction company seeking a highly organized and experienced QuickBooks Online specialist to help perform a complete accounting cleanup and implement better financial systems.
This is a temporary project expected to last approximately two months. You will work directly with the business owner through daily Google Meet calls and ongoing WhatsApp communication.
Excellent spoken and written English is absolutely essential.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving accounting problems, organizing financial information, and working closely with leadership to create meaningful financial clarity.
** Project Overview**
Our books need a complete review and restructuring.
Over the past several years, transactions were not consistently categorized, project costs were not properly tracked, and reporting lacks the visibility needed for management decisions.
We are looking for someone who can help us rebuild confidence in our financial data while establishing systems that support long-term growth.
**What You'll Be Doing**
Review and audit approximately three years of historical transactions.
Correct categorization errors and reconcile discrepancies.
Work directly with the owner during daily review sessions.
Ask questions and investigate unclear transactions.
Improve the Chart of Accounts structure.
Implement better bookkeeping and accounting workflows.
Create cleaner project-based reporting.
Help establish Work-in-Progress (WIP) accounting procedures.
Improve job costing and project profitability tracking.
Document processes for future bookkeeping consistency.
Provide recommendations and challenge assumptions when necessary.
** Required Qualifications**
Technical Requirements:
Advanced QuickBooks Online experience.
Previous experience performing cleanup projects.
Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot accounting issues.
Experience handling high transaction volumes.
Communication Requirements:
Excellent spoken English.
Strong written communication skills.
Comfortable participating in daily Google Meet calls.
Responsive through WhatsApp during working hours.
Able to explain accounting concepts clearly to non-accountants.
Confident asking questions when information is incomplete.
Highly Preferred:
Construction or project-based business experience.
Job costing experience.
Work-in-Progress accounting experience.
Experience building management reports and KPIs.
Accounting degree, CPA, or bookkeeping certifications.
