About Us
We're an Australian start-up building the next generation of AI-driven smart vending machines. With our machines set to launch over the next three months, we're creating a modern, AI-native vending platform that combines intelligent hardware, automation, and software to transform the customer experience.
As we scale, we're looking for a highly experienced Senior Level 2 Windows Systems Engineer to take ownership of our Microsoft environment and IT infrastructure.
The Role:
This is a hands-on technical role responsible for administering, maintaining, and securing our Microsoft ecosystem. You'll work closely with the founder and leadership team to ensure our IT infrastructure is reliable, secure, and scalable as the business grows.
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week (flexible)
Responsibilities:
Administer and support Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
Manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), user accounts, groups, MFA, Conditional Access, and licensing
Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
Manage Microsoft Intune and endpoint security
Configure and maintain Azure resources and virtual machines
Troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, networking, and cloud infrastructure issues
Perform system monitoring, patch management, backups, and disaster recovery
Automate routine IT tasks using PowerShell
Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs
Recommend improvements to security, performance, and IT processes
Requirements:
10+ years' experience as a Windows Systems Engineer / Systems Administrator
Minimum Level 2 Systems Engineer experience
Strong expertise in:
Microsoft 365 Administration
Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
Exchange Online
Windows Server
Active Directory
Group Policy
Microsoft Intune
Azure Administration
PowerShell scripting
Strong knowledge of networking (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls)
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and spoken English
Able to work independently and take ownership of the IT environment
Nice to Have:
Experience with Zoho (Zoho One, Zoho Mail, Zoho CRM, Zoho Desk)
Microsoft certifications (Azure Administrator, Microsoft 365 Administrator, etc.)
Experience supporting AI, SaaS, or technology start-ups
Familiarity with automation and AI tools

We're looking for someone who doesn't just fix issues—they proactively improve systems, identify opportunities for automation, and help build a secure, scalable IT environment. You'll be comfortable working directly with the founder and taking ownership of the business's internal IT operations.
Compensation
AUD $25-35 per hour, depending on experience
Part-time (approximately 20 hours per week)
