POSITION OVERVIEW
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for generating qualified opportunities for the leadership team through consistent outbound outreach, lead qualification, CRM management, and appointment setting.
This role requires someone who is proactive, organized, resourceful, and capable of managing a high volume of prospect interactions while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
The ideal candidate has experience working within the BPO, staffing, outsourcing, recruiting, virtual assistant, workforce solutions, or talent placement industries and understands the value of connecting businesses with the right people and solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Outbound Prospecting:
- Identify and research target organizations and decision-makers
- Build prospect lists aligned with ideal client profiles
- Execute outbound outreach through phone,
- Conduct cold and warm prospecting activities
- Maintain consistent activity levels to support pipeline growth
Lead Qualification:
- Conduct introductory conversations with prospective clients
- Understand organizational challenges, hiring needs, and growth goals
- Assess fit against ZIA's service offerings
- Route qualified opportunities to leadership for discovery conversations
Appointment Setting:
- Schedule Alignment Calls and Discovery Meetings
- Confirm appointments and reduce no-show rates
- Execute follow-up sequences with consistency
- Re-engage inactive opportunities when appropriate
CRM & Pipeline Management:
- Maintain accurate and complete records in HubSpot
- Document conversations, notes, and next steps
- Ensure opportunities are progressing through the pipeline appropriately
- Monitor pipeline health and identify follow-up opportunities
Reporting & Accountability:
- Track outreach activity and appointment metrics
- Participate in weekly sales and pipeline reviews
- Provide recommendations for improving outreach effectiveness
- Maintain visibility into prospect engagement and conversion trends
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Sales Development, Business Development, Appointment Setting, Recruiting, Staffing, Outsourcing, BPO, or Workforce Solutions
- Experience conducting outbound prospecting activities
- Experience managing CRM systems (HubSpot preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Comfortable conducting outreach through phone,
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong follow-through and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within a BPO, staffing, outsourcing, recruiting, virtual assistant, or workforce solutions organization
- Experience supporting SMB and mid-market businesses
- Familiarity with virtual talent, nearshore, offshore, or workforce augmentation models
- Experience working closely with recruiting, operations, or service delivery teams
- Experience supporting professional services, consulting, healthcare, or dental organizations
