## About the Role
Atmospheric Thinking is looking for an **SEO & AI Search Optimization Specialist** to support client and internal SEO projects across technical SEO, keyword research, backlink analysis, content optimization, analytics, reporting, and emerging AI search strategies.
This role is ideal for someone who understands both traditional SEO and the newer ways people are discovering businesses through AI-powered search tools, generative search engines, answer engines, and AI assistants. The ideal candidate should be comfortable using major SEO tools, analyzing website performance, identifying ranking opportunities, preparing deliverables, and keeping projects organized across a large caseload.
This is not a client-facing role involving phone calls or video meetings. However, the role will still support client deliverables, including SEO reports, dashboards, revision notes, draft
The team will also have **daily start-of-day calls** to review current tasks, priorities, blockers, deadlines, and expectations.
## Key Responsibilities
### SEO Strategy & Execution
* Perform keyword research and keyword analysis for client websites, service pages, blogs, local SEO pages, landing pages, and content strategies.
* Identify ranking opportunities based on search volume, keyword difficulty, user intent, competitor gaps, and business value.
* Create keyword maps and content recommendations for website pages, blogs, service pages, city pages, and industry pages.
* Support on-page SEO improvements, including title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking, URL structure, image alt text, and content optimization.
* Review website content and provide recommendations to improve rankings, user experience, and organic visibility.
* Help develop SEO strategies that support lead generation, local visibility, brand awareness, and long-term organic growth.
### AI SEO, Generative Search & Answer Engine Optimization
* Stay informed on new methods used to rank and appear in AI-powered search experiences.
* Support optimization for generative search, AI overviews, answer engines, and AI assistant-style search results.
* Research how businesses can improve visibility across AI-driven discovery platforms.
* Help structure content so it is easier for search engines and AI systems to understand, summarize, and reference.
* Recommend content formats that support answer engine optimization, including FAQs, direct-answer sections, entity-based content, comparison content, service explanations, and structured data.
* Use ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI tools to support research, content outlines, optimization recommendations, reporting, and workflow efficiency.
* Review AI-assisted work carefully for accuracy, quality, and SEO value.
### Technical SEO
* Conduct technical SEO audits using tools such as Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and other SEO platforms.
* Identify and document technical issues such as crawl errors, indexation problems, broken links, redirect issues, duplicate content, thin content, missing metadata, page speed concerns, sitemap issues, robots.txt problems, and canonicalization issues.
* Review website architecture, internal linking, crawlability, and indexability.
* Support schema markup recommendations and implementation planning.
* Help test and validate schema implementations using appropriate tools.
* Work with website developers or internal tea
* Monitor website health and flag issues that may impact rankings, traffic, or search visibility.
### Analytics, Tracking & Reporting
* Use Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, Bing Webmaster Tools, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and other reporting tools to monitor SEO performance.
* Help build, update, and maintain SEO report dashboards.
* Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, impressions, clicks, backlinks, conversions, indexing status, and other SEO KPIs.
* Use Google Sheets and Google Docs to organize research, audits, reports, notes, and client deliverables.
* Prepare written summaries explaining SEO performance, completed work, opportunities, and recommended next steps.
* Support draft
* Ensure reports are accurate, organized, and ready for internal review before delivery.
### Backlink Analysis & Link Building
* Conduct backlink analysis using Ahrefs, SEMrush, and other backlink tools.
* Review competitor backlink profiles to identify link-building opportunities.
* Identify toxic, low-quality, or suspicious backlinks when needed.
* Support backlink-building campaigns through research, prospecting, outreach preparation, and relationship-building opportunities.
* Help create backlink notes, outreach lists, partnership opportunities, and link acquisition recommendations.
* Understand how customer relationships, partnerships, vendors, directories, associations, guest content, sponsorships, and local business connections can support backlink building.
* Track backlink progress and document new, lost, or high-value links.

* Manage multiple projects at once without losing track of details, instructions, or deadlines.
