We are looking to bring on an experienced, payments supervisor to lead a team to mitigate fraud. You will take a data-driven approach to gaps, opportunities, and vectors of potential fraud and abuse. Your responsibilities will encompass all pillars of fraud strategy, including monitoring, prevention, mitigation, investigation, and recovery.
This role will report to an experienced Risk Fraud Manager, who is based in Romania.
Responsibilities
Risk Assessment, Monitoring, & Mitigation: Develop and implement policies to detect fraud and prevent fraud.
Data Analytics: Use your scripting abilities / formulas to help detect patterns in large datasets.
Investigation: Support in detecting unusual / suspicious activity.
Identification: Proactively identify and close gaps in our fraud monitoring process.
Reporting: Analyze fraud-related data to report and present insights to company leadership.
Measure: Track fraud performance across payment methods, develop core metrics, and create dashboards to understand them.
Risk Configuration: Implement low-friction custom risk rules that flags fraud and prevention.
Review: Back-test rules to measure effectiveness and adjust as needed.
Vendor management: Manage dispute mitigation partners, using chargeback alerts improve internal rules.Proven ability to manage cases with merchants, customers, and banks
Payment Systems: Proficiency in Visa, Mastercard, and other card network rules, including authorization, clearing, and settlement processes
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in trust & safety, payments & risk, or related fields.
Understanding of financial services, banking, and/or payment-related processes, regulations, and systems required.
Strong quantitative analytical abilities.
Medium to High level of expertise in Excel
Strong Communication and Interpersonal Abilities
Highly adaptable, with the ability to rapidly assimilate new information, identify fraud, risk, and process implications.
Attention to detail & continuous improvement approach.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
