While our main core competency is luxury home building, we are expanding into commercial construction with two upcoming projects-a mixed-use remodel and addition, as well as a ground-up mixed-use property in downtown Truckee right on the river.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Estimator who can accurately assess project costs, collaborate with subcontractors, and help us maintain our reputation for delivering both premium residential and commercial builds on time and within budget.

The Role

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our pre-construction process, providing detailed and accurate cost estimates for custom homes, luxury remodels, and commercial projects. You will collaborate closely with the project management team, architects, and subcontractors to develop competitive and realistic budgets.
Key Responsibilities

Project Estimation - Prepare accurate cost estimates for luxury residential and commercial projects, including materials, labor, and subcontractor pricing.

Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination - Obtain and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive and reliable pricing.

Blueprint & Specification Analysis - Review architectural plans, scopes of work, and project requirements to create detailed takeoffs.

Budgeting & Value Engineering - Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and provide alternatives for clients.

Bid Package Preparation - Compile professional bid proposals with supporting documentation for client and internal review.

Collaboration - Work closely with Project Managers, architects, and designers to refine budgets and address design changes.

Software Utilization - Use Procore (or similar project management software) to track and manage estimates, costs, and revisions.


What We're Looking For

Experience - 5+ years of estimating experience in high-end residential and/or commercial construction, preferably in custom home building, luxury remodels, or mixed-use developments.

Industry Knowledge - Strong understanding of Tahoe-style architecture, premium materials, and building costs.

Technical Skills - Proficiency in construction estimating software (Procore, Buildertrend, PlanSwift, or similar).

Detail-Oriented - Ability to analyze complex plans and identify potential cost risks and opportunities.

Communication & Negotiation - Strong skills in working with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure accurate estimates.

Problem-Solving Mindset - Ability to anticipate project challenges and recommend cost-effective solutions.
