I’m looking for a reliable remote YouTube video editor for Midas Media Ltd.
Primary channel
Occasional secondary work may include MIDASMVMT™ fitness content if the editor is a strong fit for the follow-along workout video editing style, but the core hire is for tech/gaming long-form YouTube editing. Fitness experience is a plus, not a requirement.
This is a contract role for an editor who can work from clear briefs and source footage to create polished long-form YouTube videos and short-form videos.
Pay:
USD 500/month, paid through Wise.
Core responsibilities:
- Edit long-form YouTube videos for tech, creator lifestyle, gaming, product reviews, setups, comparisons, and buyer guides (voiceover-led and talking-head formats)
- Create clean short-form videos for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok when needed
- Add clean motion graphics, lower thirds, callouts, product labels, verdict cards, and simple on-screen graphics
- Handle pacing, b-roll selection, audio cleanup, captions, music, and export delivery
- Work from structured briefs and apply feedback clearly
Requirements:
- Final Cut Pro X is required
- Motion graphics skills are required
- 3+ years of video editing experience
- Portfolio with YouTube editing work, ideally tech, gaming, product review, setup, creator-style, or lifestyle-tech long-form videos
- Strong retention-aware pacing
- Clean audio handling
- Good written English for async communication
- 4K-capable workstation (will be working with large flat profile footage primarily)
- At least 2 TB of available working storage
- Uncapped fiber internet with at least 100 Mbps download speed, 200 Mbps+ preferred
- Backup internet connection preferred
Important file workflow note:
Projects can include 100 GB to 500 GB of source footage. You must have uncapped, reliable fiber internet and enough local storage to handle large 4K projects. Please do not apply if you are on a capped data plan or cannot download large project folders reliably.
Editing test:
Shortlisted applicants will be required to complete a short editing test before any hire decision is made. The test is used to evaluate pacing, b-roll judgment, audio cleanup, motion graphics, instruction-following, and overall fit for the channel style.
Nice to have:
- Experience editing tech, gaming, setup, or creator-lifestyle YouTube videos
- Experience with buyer-guide, product review, or affiliate-style content
- Thumbnail design experience
- Fitness content editing experience
How to apply:
Please include:
1. Your portfolio link
2. Confirmation that you use Final Cut Pro X
3. Examples of motion graphics work
4. Your internet speed test screenshot from fast.com
5. Confirmation that your internet plan is uncapped
6. Your available storage and computer specs
7. Your earliest start date
8. Confirmation that you are willing to complete a short editing test if shortlisted
Applications without a portfolio link will not be reviewed.
