Remote .NET Developer (Contractor)

Work with an Australian Software Company

We are looking for a talented .NET Developer in the Philippines to join our team as an independent contractor.

You'll be working on commercial software applications using C#, .NET, and MySQL, helping to develop new features, improve existing systems, and support customers across multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain .NET applications.
• Develop new features and enhancements based on business requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Create and optimize MySQL database structures, queries, stored procedures, and reports.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to software quality improvements.
• Integrate applications with third-party APIs and services.
• Maintain technical documentation and deployment procedures.
• Collaborate with project managers, support staff, and stakeholders located in Australia.
• Ensure applications meet security, performance, and reliability standards.

Required Skills and Experience
Essential

• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with:

C#
.NET Framework and/or .NET (Core/.NET 6+)
ASP.NET MVC, Web API, or Windows Desktop Applications
MySQL database development and administration
SQL query optimization and troubleshooting

• Experience with:

Git source control
REST APIs
Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
Software debugging and testing

• Demonstrated experience using AI development tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar tools as part of the software development workflow.
• Ability to evaluate, test, and refine AI-generated code rather than relying on it without review.
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Reliable internet connection and suitable remote working environment.

Preferred

• Experience with:

MariaDB
JavaScript, HTML, CSS
POS, retail, hospitality, ERP, or business management systems

• Experience working with overseas clients or distributed teams.

Work Arrangement

• This position is fully remote and open to candidates based in the Philippines.
• Candidates located in Clark, Pampanga, or nearby areas are preferred.
• While the role is currently remote, applicants should be willing to work from an office in Clark, Pampanga up to three days per week should a local office be established in the future.
