As a Finance Controller / VA CFO, you will serve as a strategic finance partner responsible for creating accurate financial visibility, improving reporting processes, and helping leadership make informed decisions.
This is not a bookkeeping role.
Your mission is to ensure financial information is accurate, timely, and decision-ready by overseeing financial reporting, accounts receivable visibility, month-end close processes, cash flow reporting, and finance operations. You will work closely with company leadership to transform financial data into meaningful insights that support growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting & Business Visibility
Prepare and maintain financial reports that provide leadership with clear insights into company performance.
Responsibilities include:
Financial reporting and analysis
Cash flow visibility and forecasting
Revenue and profitability reporting
Budget versus actual analysis
Financial performance reviews
Management reporting and recommendations

2. Accounts Receivable Oversight
Monitor accounts receivable performance and support the collection process by maintaining visibility into outstanding balances and payment trends.
Responsibilities include:
AR reporting and aging analysis
Collection follow-up coordination
Payment status monitoring
Escalation of overdue accounts
Identification of collection risks and trends

3. Month-End Close & Financial Controls
Lead and coordinate month-end close activities to ensure financial information is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
Responsibilities include:
Close process management
Reconciliation review
Financial statement review
Documentation oversight
Internal control monitoring
Reporting accuracy and consistency

4. Finance Operations Management
Provide oversight and direction for finance operations activities to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
Reviewing finance workflows and processes
Monitoring accounting and bookkeeping activities
Identifying issues and recommending solutions
Improving accountability and operational efficiency
Supporting cross-functional finance initiatives

5. Financial Analysis & Continuous Improvement
Help leadership understand financial performance by identifying trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Responsibilities include:
Variance analysis
Profitability reviews
Revenue and expense trend analysis
Financial process improvement
Reporting enhancements
Operational finance recommendations

Qualifications
Must be based in the Philippines
Available to work aligned with US Central Time (CST)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of accounting, finance, controller, or financial management experience
Strong understanding of financial statements and business reporting
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Experience overseeing accounts receivable and cash flow reporting
Strong knowledge of accounting systems and financial software (QuickBooks experience preferred)
Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities
Experience supporting business owners or executive leadership preferred
