Real Estate Underwriter – Multifamily (Overseas Position)

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Underwriter with expertise in multifamily properties to join our team on a remote, overseas basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in underwriting multifamily real estate using a Google Sheets pro forma, conducting detailed market research, and analyzing financial data to inform investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
-Underwrite multifamily properties by reviewing financial statements, rent rolls, operating expenses, and other key metrics using a Google Sheets pro forma.
-Create accurate financial models and projections, ensuring all variables are correctly reflected in the pro forma template.
-Conduct market research, including rent comparisons, price per square foot, and local market trends, to validate property valuations and underwriting assumptions.
-Collaborate with the investment team to provide insights, recommendations, and detailed reports based on data-driven analysis.
-Continuously update and refine underwriting processes based on the latest market data and trends.
-Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, remote working environment.
-Maintain high levels of accuracy, ensuring all data inputs and outputs in the pro forma are meticulously checked.

Qualifications:
-Extensive experience in real estate underwriting, specifically in multifamily properties.
-Strong proficiency with Google Sheets, particularly in building and managing pro forma models.
-Proven ability to conduct market research and provide data-backed insights into rents, pricing trends, and other real estate metrics.
-Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively in a remote, international role.
-Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with a global team across time zones.
-High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.

Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Experience with additional real estate analysis tools or software.
Previous experience working remotely for a global team.
