We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Real Estate Underwriter to join our team and help drive our success forward.

Position Overview

As a Real Estate Underwriter, you will play a key role in analyzing, evaluating, and determining the feasibility of potential property acquisitions. You’ll work closely with the acquisitions team to assess deals, calculate offers, and provide insights to ensure our investments are sound and profitable. This is a remote position, perfect for individuals with strong analytical skills and real estate underwriting experience.

Responsibilities

•Property Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of on-market and distressed properties, including reviewing property details, market conditions, and comparable sales.
•Risk Assessment: Evaluate the potential risks and returns of prospective acquisitions to ensure alignment with company investment criteria.
•Financial Modeling: Prepare and maintain detailed financial models, including profit and loss projections, ROI calculations, and cash flow analyses.
•Valuation: Accurately determine property values based on comparable sales, market trends, and property conditions.
•Offer Preparation: Collaborate with the acquisitions team to calculate competitive offers while maintaining profitability.
•Due Diligence: Assist with the due diligence process, including reviewing inspections, title reports, and other critical property information.
•Reporting: Provide clear, concise, and actionable insights to the acquisitions team and leadership.

Requirements

•Real Estate Experience: 2+ years of experience in real estate underwriting, appraisal, or a related field.
•Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret data, analyze market trends, and assess property values accurately.
•Tech Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, property valuation software, and CRM tools.
•Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a strong ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
•Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the Florida real estate market, particularly distressed and on-market properties, is a plus.
•Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present findings and recommendations.
•Time Zone Availability: Must be able to work U.S. Eastern Standard Time hours.
